Expressing Your Rebel Yell With Accessories Instead of Tattoos or Piercing

Many of us have been acquainted with our very own rebel yell within. Sometimes, its scream is so loud, you must let it out, express it, have it with you at all times. Sometimes, you just want to walk into a room and let your look speak volumes about who you are inside. One of the most popular style enhancers that may help one stand out in a crowd are tattoos and piercings. However, it’s not wise to give in to a temporary whim, and I believe I have Angelina Jolie’s approval on this one.

I’m also a fan of tattoos, I have two smaller ones on my back (which cannot be seen unless I’m wearing bikini), but since I know that having a tattoo on some visible place would be a problem for my boss, I’ve decided to show off my unique style through different types of fashion accessories (scarves, hats, bags, bracelets, earrings, etc.). They have become my best ally and I simply enjoy wearing and matching them with my outfits. Regardless of your style and personality, these teeny-tiny details can really help you enhance your style.

Tattoos & Piercings – Temporary Thrill that Fades Away Quickly
Tattoos and piercings may help you make a fashion or lifestyle statement, but in the long run, these preferences are usually temporary (for most people). As our preferences change, so does the way we want to dress and this is where accessories come in very handy. It’s quite safe to say that fashion accessories give you the freedom to experiment and jump from style to style in a jiffy. We are not one dimensional creatures, and, sadly, since tattoos and piercing are not so easy to get rid of, with them, you may be in some kind of style transition, but you won’t be able to express that.

Increased Risk of Infection
Both tattoos and piercings can cause some serious bacterial infections, especially if the artist uses non-sterile tools. When it comes to body piercings, a build-up (abscess) can be formed around the pierced area which if left untreated could lead to surgical removal, causing a scar on your body. The risks of having a piercing are huge, so better think twice before having one. Accessories, on the other hand, come with no such risks, meaning that you have the freedom to mix and match them without causing you any pain nor scars.

Tattoos & Piercings May Affect Your Career
We all know that college is usually the time when people experiment the most and feel the urge to let the rebel yell out and have a piercing or tattoo done. However, in the long run, the acceptability of piercings, tattoos, and other body art will mainly depend on your employer and the type of job you are seeking. For instance, if looking for a job in a bank, or a job that involves constant customer interface, body art could be considered a negative point by your future employer. On the other hand, the universally accepted accessories like cashmere scarf, poncho, and a tote bag could be perfectly matched and accepted by anyone. What’s more, a cashmere or silk scarves are considered the most classy and elegant fashion “weapons” that could show off your style and personality all while remaining subtle.

Always weighing things, the life of a Libra isn’t easy and that’s something Jessie is well acquainted with as a Libra herself. The confusion with having to choose between things is what helps her write for the blog, in the hope of making it easier for readers who are indecisive themselves. Interested in contrasts, like period dramas and sci-fi, casual and classy outfits, fries and detox shakes, the life of this young lady is anything but boring. Or is it?
